11th FIWARE Global Summit, 22-23 May, Morocco (Rabat)

The FIWARE Global Summit is one of the leading open source conferences for businesses, public administrations, academia, developers, and technologists, and for strategists and game changers alike, inviting leaders, entrepreneurs, SMEs, large enterprises, investors, and researchers, to gather together to develop impactful intelligent solutions worldwide and build new partnerships for a resilient and inclusive digital tomorrow.

For the first time ever, the FIWARE Global Summit, organized by FIWARE Foundation, will be held in Morocco, highlighting the innovative potential of smart and sustainable territories beyond Europe. Hosted by Rabat Smart City, the FIWARE Global Summit 2025 offers a unique opportunity to witness Morocco's commitment to shaping a smarter, more sustainable future. As part of the Morocco Smart Cities Roadshow and with the support of UM6P and the Smart Moroccan Alliance for Resilient Territories (SMART), the summit, together with the global FIWARE community, aims to promote digital innovation for Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Smart Water, Smart Mobility and public health. Worldwide experts and open source gurus, open data influencers, and leading analysts will deep dive into the most discussed topics such as:

-    Secure Smart City: Ensuring urban safety, digital protection, and crisis response through smart technologies.

-     Sustainable Smart City: Driving urban sustainability, efficient resource management, and climate resilience.

-    Smart Governance & Digital Administration: Enhancing public services, governance and transparency through digital transformation.

-   AI & Data-Driven Urban Management: Harnessing AI, Big Data, and predictive analytics to optimize operations and resource management.

The 11th Summit edition will feature two days of impactful programming, including keynote speeches by official representatives from Morocco, Spain and Portugal, interactive panel discussions, matchmaking and networking opportunities. This will be a unique platform to meet Moroccan ministries and governors from all 12 regions who are actively engaging with leading private ICT companies and innovative startups to explore advanced solutions.

A key feature of the Summit is a two-day Training program providing interactive and hands-on sessions, explaining how to  benefit from using standards in context data management, and exploring practical examples of how to utilize context data in robotics and machine learning. The training is looking at extending the basics of context data management, understanding digital twins and the connection of digital assets to the real world and the processing of context data for meaningful insights.
