African innovation highlighted through UM6P participation at CES 2025
From the 7th to the 10th of January, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, represented by the president and UM6P Ventures management, participated in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas, marking Africa’s first participation in the world’s largest electronics event.
UM6P engaged in discussions on advancing technology to address Africa’s challenges and contribute globally. In the opening panel, Yassine Laghzioui, Director of Entrepreneurship and Venturing at UM6P and CEO of UM6P Ventures, shared insights on leveraging innovation and strategic investment to tackle pressing issues across the continent.
On the second day, President Hicham El Habti presented a vision for empowering African communities through innovation, fostering entrepreneurship, and addressing regional challenges with tailored solutions.
CES 2025 also provided a platform for UM6P startups to present their solutions to global venture capitalists, showcasing the contributions of African innovators.
