ATLAS initiative addressed agricultural transitions at Davos
On the 20th of January, the ATLAS initiative, of which University Mohammed VI Polytechnic is a member, brought together, at Davos, global leaders from the public and private sectors to address the $200 billion agricultural funding gap in Africa and discuss sustainable food systems.
The panel included figures such as Justin Vaïsse, Patrick Dupoux, Ismahane Elouafi, and Dr. Agnes Kalibata, focusing on accelerating agricultural transitions and ensuring global food security.Discussions highlighted doubling investments in African agri-food systems by 2030, improving transparency in agricultural funding, and leveraging precision agriculture to enhance resilience to climate change. UM6P reaffirmed its commitment to advancing solutions for a sustainable agricultural future.
