GreenChemAfrica program concluded with a graduation ceremony
The GreenChemAfrica program, developed through a collaboration between SUSMAT-RC, Executive Education STH, and The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), with the support of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the ACS Green Chemistry Institute, concluded its training cycle at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic in Benguerir.
This pan-African initiative introduced participants to the foundations of green chemistry, including its twelve guiding principles and practical applications aimed at addressing environmental challenges. Beyond academic content, the program encouraged participants to reflect on the role of science in sustainable development, emphasizing innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership.
The graduation ceremony marked the completion of the training and recognized the participants’ commitment to advancing sustainable chemistry across the continent.
