Innovation and collaboration highlighted during UM6P’s participation in GITEX AFRICA

From the 12th to the 16th of April, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic participated in GITEX AFRICA 2025, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Since the first edition, UM6P has remained an active partner of this continental technology forum.

This year, over 12 departments and programs took part, covering a wide range of areas from digital technologies to deeptech and applied research. Several departments also presented recent developments, including prototypes, digital platforms, and research-based solutions targeting challenges in education, health, and energy.

Throughout the week, UM6P representatives contributed to a number of panel discussions focused on digital sovereignty, AI in Africa, climate-smart technologies, and inclusive innovation. These sessions provided a space to present the university’s ecosystem and its ongoing projects across the continent. In parallel, UM6P formalized a series of agreements with academic, industrial, governmental, and institutional stakeholders, reinforcing its commitment to long-term partnerships in support of innovation, capacity building, and knowledge transfer.

UM6P’s continued participation in GITEX AFRICA reflects its engagement in advancing applied research, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven development in Africa.
