Martin Gatton College Dean explored UM6P’s vision for farming innovation
On the 23rd of January, the Dean of the Martin Gatton College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment met with the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) team during a visit to Al Moutmir.
The workshop focused on UM6P’s vision to foster sustainable and inclusive agriculture in Africa through science, innovation, and technology. Discussions highlighted the role of farming extension in bridging applied research and farmers to co-design tailored solutions. Participants also learned about OCP’s vision for sustainability and innovation and visited key facilities, including the Energy Green Park, the Experimental Farm, 1337, and the UM6P Hospital.
The visit reflects UM6P’s commitment to fostering collaborations that drive progress and shape the future of agriculture in Africa and beyond.
