Researchers and students debated AI in science during Policy Office event

On the 22nd of April, the Policy Office hosted its first in-person event titled “AI in Research: Hype or Hope” At UM6P Campus in Benguerir. The full day gathering focused on the role of artificial intelligence in advancing research.

It opened with keynote addresses from Khalid Baddou, and Dr. Fatima El Yousfi, followed by a plenary session with Pr. Jones Alami, Pr. Lamiae Azizi, Pr. Ikram Chairi , and Patrick Franzen. Participants, including PhD students, faculty, and researchers from UM6P and other Moroccan institutions, engaged in sessions combining case studies and discussions on the benefits and challenges of AI in research. The event contributed to ongoing reflections on ethical and responsible research practices.
