UM6P Introduced the PHENO-MA platform for plant phenotyping
UM6P launched the PHENO-MA platform to study plant responses to environmental conditions and improve crop productivity within the University’s Campus in Benguerir.
The platform includes an Outdoor System with Phenomobile v2+, equipped with LiDAR, RGB, IR, and spectrometer sensors to analyze plant water budgets under stress. It also features a Lysimetric System with 1,400 mini-plots for studying water dynamics, simulating drought scenarios, and an autonomous phenotyping robot. Additionally, an Indoor System integrates PhenoMerzouga v2 for climate simulations and a growth chamber with a speed breeding platform for genetic research. PHENO-MA will support research on plant resilience and resource efficiency.
