Wrapping up the participation of UM6P at GITEX AFRICA 2024
From the 29th to the 31st of May, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic participated in GITEX AFRICA 2024, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Marrakech.
As the exclusive R&D partner to GITEX AFRICA 2024, more than 15 UM6P entities and programs that vary from Health to DeepTech programs were showcased throughout the exhibition. On the first day of the event, the President Mr. Hicham El Habti took part in a panel entitled “Fireside Chat: Bridging science and technology: Concrete Gateways for progress”, where discussions revolved around how AI will transform job roles, whether it will act as a friend or foe to employment prospects, and the potential impact on traditional jobs. Moreover, the session provided an opportunity to explore avenues through which governments and big tech companies can support youth in Africa.
Also, several UM6P representatives participated as speakers in different side events, highlighting our ecosystems’ endeavors and dynamic projects catering to the African continent’s challenges.
As part of its participation, UM6P signed new partnerships with global tech players, policymakers, startups, talents, and investors to accelerate learning, funding, and research processes.
