UM6P participated in the Paris Peace Forum to address global challenges
On the 11th and 12th of November, UM6P participated in the Paris Peace Forum at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, joining global leaders to address issues like climate change, economic resilience, and food security.
This forum aligns with UM6P's mission to foster dialogue between the Global North and South and promote sustainable solutions. UM6P highlighted its commitment to applied research and innovation, particularly through initiatives like ATLAS, which supports sustainable agriculture and helps African smallholder farmers address a $200 billion funding gap in the sector.
On the sidelines of the Paris Peace Forum, UM6P France, in partnership with ATLAS and in collaboration with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), hosted two panels addressing sustainable and resilient agriculture in Africa. The discussions focused on mobilizing capital to bridge the agricultural financing gap and enhancing the resilience of African agri-food systems in the face of climate challenges.
