UM6P is taking part in the AgriEngage project
Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is a key partner in the AgriEngage project funded by the European Union to strengthen agricultural entrepreneurship and community engagement training in East, West and North Africa. The project aims to enhance the capacity and employability of agricultural workers by strengthening the skills of both UM6P's staff and students in areas such as community engagement, business management, and entrepreneurship.
UM6P, a prominent institution of higher education in Morocco, takes pride in its involvement in a project that has the potential to bring about significant changes to agricultural communities and industries in Africa. In collaboration with the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV), UM6P plays a crucial role in enhancing the capacity of agricultural workers and the industry in the North African region.
The specific goals of the AgriEngage project, such as expanding the availability of up-to-date agri-entrepreneurship and community engagement training programs, improving the teaching skills of academic staff, training students in demand-driven agri-entrepreneurship, and strengthening university-industry collaboration, are all aligned with UM6P's vision of becoming a global leader in higher education and research in science, engineering, and technology.
The AgriEngage project aims to facilitate UM6P's exchange of experiences and updated approaches, methodologies, and training inspirations with African and European collaborators. The project seeks to enhance the quality and internationalization of study programs and training experiences Moreover, the project endeavors to strengthen the connections between higher education institutions and industry, including linking communities, as a crucial component of its objectives.

This project is expected to last three years, with a start date of January 15, 2021, and an anticipated end date of January 14, 2024.
