Executive Education STH launched mining decarbonization program for OCP

The Executive Education launched a dedicated short program for OCP’s SBU Mining, focusing on decarbonizing the mining value chain at UM6P Campus in Benguerir.

The program, led by Pr. Abdelghafour Zaabout, Pr. Youssef Belmabkhout, and a team of experts, covered industrial decarbonization strategies, cost optimization, and implementation tools. It examined mining-specific CO₂ sources and explored pathways such as CCUS technologies, solar thermal energy, hydrogen, biomass, and electrification. This initiative equipped participants with practical approaches to reduce emissions while fostering a low-carbon mindset in the mining sector.
