UM6P and the World Bank signed an MoU to Enhance Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration in Infrastructure Sectors
UM6P and the Infrastructure Department for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region of the World Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance knowledge and collaboration across infrastructure sectors such as Energy, Transport, and Digital Development.
This partnership is part of the “Road to Marrakech” initiatives in preparation for the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that will take place in October 2023 in Morocco.
This agreement aims to provide a framework within which both institutions can develop and undertake collaborative activities to further knowledge exchange, including the support for internship opportunities at the World Bank, collaboration in disseminating knowledge produced by both UM6P and the World Bank related to infrastructure and advancing research and analytical work in thematic areas of common interest.
This partnership involves several potential activities that include support for students who may be able to access internship opportunities at the World Bank. The partnership will also allow the use of both Parties’ facilities to disseminate analytical work, host workshops, and seminars, and gather researchers and stakeholders for joint research, co-creation of knowledge products, and participation in learning opportunities that would further advance the development of the infrastructure sectors.
This new collaboration reflects UM6P’s and the World Bank’s vision for accelerating the transition to a green economy and a digital transformation and how institutions join efforts to make more impact in Morocco, in several fields.
