The UM6P Explorer Program Hosts Their First In-Person Showcase

UM6P Explorer, an innovation program for student entrepreneurs, celebrated their first annual in-person Showcase. The 2023 UM6P Explorer Innovation Program Showcase took place on March 3rd, 2023 at UM6P’s Conference Center.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to hold our first in-person Showcase enabling our teams to interact with the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem including our outstanding mentors, investment community, business leaders, partner institutions, aspiring entrepreneurs, and each other in a significant way. I’m sure these meaningful connections will continue to grow their startups and personal careers and have a long-lasting impact on the ecosystem,” said Marwan Hassoun, Director of Partnership, MIT Sandbox Innovation Program and Executive Director of UM6P Explorer Innovation Program.

A selection of entrepreneurs from the UM6P ecosystem was showcased and provided an unparalleled opportunity for visitors to get a closer look at their innovative projects. The showcase program included a plenary session with a panel of Explorer program teams (past and present) sharing their entrepreneurial journey to date, followed by a reception amongst additional team's exhibition booths. This let the participating teams interact with the audience and answer various questions about their startups and their Explorer entrepreneurship journey.

Explorer Program presenters belong to different partners of UM6P including, but not limited to: the coding schools 1337 and YouCode, Mascir, Akhawayn University, Mohammed V University, Cadi Ayyad University, and Hassan II University. In total, 25 teams were showcased during the event, specific information about the projects can be found on the subsequent pages.

"Every successful Explorer Showcase that’s hosted is an ode to the effectiveness of the program and our wonderful teams, our first In-Person Showcase aims to build on that and expand the experience and the exposure for our entrepreneurs,” said Adnane Alaoui Soulimani, Head of UM6P Innovation & Entrepreneurship Lab.
