The UM6P-Faculty of Medical Sciences organized the first edition of the white coat ceremony

On December 15th, the UM6P-Faculty of Medical Sciences organized under the presidency of Mr. El Habti the first edition of the white coat ceremony. Created in July 2022, the UM6P-FMS follows an English-speaking program with 64 students including 54 in medicine and 19 in pharmacy, selected after an admission competition. This first promotion of the UM6P is called Baruch BENACERAF* promotion.

An exhibition on the history of medicine was also organized on the sidelines of this event to illustrate the evolution of medical sciences in Andalusia and Morocco through manuscripts, statues, and surgical equipment of different specialties. This exhibition on the history of medicine is open to the public and the entire UM6P community until December 25.
 

* Dr. Baruch BENACERAF, 1st Moroccan Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1980. Born in a Sephardic family in Tetouan, his research focused on the genes that regulate immune responses and their role in autoimmune diseases. Therefore, he is described as a businessman whose hobby was science.
