UM6P hosted AMLD Africa - Applied Machine Learning Days

On the 3-5th of November, UM6P Benguerir’s campus hosted Applied Machine Learning Days (AMLD) Africa 2022. AMLD is one of the biggest Machine Learning conferences in Europe, founded by Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

Opened by the Minister of Digital Transition Mrs. Ghita Mezzour, AMLD Africa 2022 gathered talks about the application of AI in Healthcare, Environment, Education and others interesting topics that impacts the African continent.

The presentations were delivered by experts from national and international tech Industry (OCP, Google, IBM, Oracle, AWS, Meta ...), academics (University of Cambridge, University of Montreal ..), CEOs of rising start-ups and even the director of AI for the European Commission!

The Applied Machine Learning Days Africa 2022 hosted more than 2000 participants, 480 onsite within the Campus, and 1700 people attended online.
