UM6P double winner at Geneva – Inventions 2023

e are pleased to inform you that UM6P and Morocco were proudly represented at the International Exhibition of Inventions "Geneva - Inventions 2023".  It is the most important annual event in the world dedicated exclusively to inventions where all the newest ones are exhibited.

For the first time in the history of this competition, the gold medal with the congratulations of the jury were  awarded to a Moroccan invention in the Biotech category. The project is led by a team composed of Dr. Rafiq El Alami, Head of the Digital Learning Lab & the Digital Innovation Center of Excellence “DICE”, and Dr. Hafid Griguer, Deputy Director of DICE.

The winning invention is called "Bio-touch" and represents a worldwide advance in the field of non-invasive detection of blood sugar levels for diabetic patients, without using the pricking method.

The second invention called "Leaf-Life" was awarded the silver medal in the category of digital technology for agricultural management. It is a digital platform based on a new generation of sensors capable of analyzing, in real time, the need for water from plant leaves.
