UM6P hosting over 140 young leaders for the 1st edition of the Bridge Africa Summit
From the 6th to the 8th of May, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic organized the 1st edition of the Bridge Africa Summit, within its Campus in Benguerir.
The program provided a platform for young African leaders to discuss innovative practices that enhance social and economic development. The event was centered on three key themes: inspire, involve, and act.
Over 140 young leaders from 25 countries around the continent were brought together to think about their needs as leaders, to develop, and to form their network. The President Mr. Hicham El Habti and the Bridge Africa Program Director Mr. Khalid Baddou emphasized the importance of harnessing Africa’s demographic dividend to address global challenges. The summit served as a platform for discussing societal challenges and the initiatives born from this event could significantly contribute to Agenda 2030, the global roadmap for sustainable development.
During this 3-days summit, leadership development workshops, strategic planning sessions, and community development activities were offered to the Bridgers to help them gain valuable skills and knowledge. Additionally, Bridge Africa Summit featured a solutions village, which showcased innovative projects from African youth, and an art exhibition to celebrate the cultural diversity of the African continent.
