Exploring the creative process in film production through a Masterclass with Ahmed El Maanouni

On the 24^th of October, an interactive masterclass with Ahmed El Maanouni alternating between screenings and discussions took place at the new Learning Center within UM6P campus in Benguerir.

Each film excerpt was followed by a dialogue between Mr. Maanouni and the audience, facilitating an exploration of the themes and symbols in each work. A total of 11 excerpts from Alyam Alyam, Lhal, and Les Cœurs brûlés were shown, highlighting topics such as the role of the group Nass El Ghiwane and the challenges faced by Moroccan people in the 1980s.

The audience learned about the stories and inspirations behind each scene, concluding with an open discussion where participants could ask questions and share their impressions. This masterclass enabled attendees to learn about the cinematic work of Ahmed Maanouni.
