UM6P Management Committee visited the Silicon Valley and engaged with its ecosystem
From the 23rd to 25th of October, UM6P's Management Committee conducted a strategic visit to Silicon Valley, engaging with major corporations, incubators, venture capital firms, and startups.
The delegation visited organizations such as OpenAI, Zededa, Google, Nvidia, T45 Labs, Stanford University, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, holding discussions focused on AI, sustainable development, health tech, and collaborative prospects in edge computing and biomedical research.
On the same occasion, on the 24th of October, UM6P hosted a reception at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, gathering over 150 stakeholders—including VCs, entrepreneurs, and Moroccan diaspora members—to showcase UM6P’s Entrepreneurship and Venturing Ecosystem, aimed at positioning Morocco and Africa as global innovation hubs. Opened remotely by President Hicham El Habti, this event featured a presentation by Yassine Laghzioui on UM6P Ventures' strategic support for startups, highlighting success stories from AES, DeepEcho, and Akorn Tech.
