MAHIR Center’s cultural productions exhibited in Benguerir

On Tuesday, the 10th of October, the President Mr. Hicham El Habti, along with distinguished guests such as Mrs. Fernández de la Vega, the President of The Women for Africa, and Mr. Jacques Attali, paid a visit to the MAHIR Center exhibition in UM6P Benguerir. The event coincided with the inauguration of The Voice of Africa by UM6P. The exhibition showcased various facets of the MAHIR program, highlighting its diversity and versatility. It exposed different artifacts that were the result of the archeological project called QADIM: an initiative that allows MAHIR participants to explore the archeological site of Sidi Bou Othmane (40km away from Benguerir in Rhamna region) and share this rich heritage.

Featuring beautiful informative panels about this 800 years old site, booklets providing essential historical context, as well as recreations of well copings and 3D models of the site. The event also served as an introduction to the MAHIR Center program, displaying past participants' creations such as the documentary 'Remembering Marrakesh,' a joint effort between participants and Sapir College's students, currently nominated for the 2024 Oscars. Additionally, the exhibition included booklets authored by participants, previously featured in the international book fair of Rabat, and 'MARE NOSTRUM,' an interactive piece created in collaboration with MIT students.
