Research projects at Social Sciences, Economics and Humanities Cluster are housed at the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS). AIRESS focuses on subjects related to public policy in Africa such as ecology, sustainable development, education, decision analysis, economic policy, social policy, security, diplomacy and international relations. It is as a space in which professors of Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES), researchers and doctoral students interact and work on various programs related to the disciplinary areas taught at the institution.
These major programs include research projects on specific issues. They are conducted by dedicated teams of scholars who use the most rigorous scientific methods. Such projects have two major objectives. First, they aim to identify useful data for public policy issues in countries of the South. Second, they seek to publish findings from fundamental and applied research in high-ranking academic publications.
