ReBuild Launched of the Weave on Demand project

On the 5^th of November, the ReBuild team visited weaving cooperatives in Al-Haouz to receive the first collection of crafted rugs for the Weave on Demand project.

This marks the official launch of the winning project from the ReBuild Challenge, held from November 2023 to February 2024, and signals a new chapter of collaboration and renewed activity for local cooperatives.

Led by UM6P’s SAP+D students, this initiative provides support to local cooperatives, building on their resilience and expertise as they resume their activities by crafting rug designs envisioned by the students. By showcasing the region’s artisanal expertise, the project bridges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, marking a step towards lasting, positive impact on the community.
