The Second International Forum on Biosaline Agriculture (LAFOBA2)

We are delighted to announce the Second International Laayoune Forum on Biosaline Agriculture (LAFOBA2) in collaboration with MDPI (https://lafoba2.sciforum.net/). 

This e-conference is organized jointly by the African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the OCP foundation in partnership with Phosboucraa foundation and the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA). LAFOBA2 will be held online from March 29 to 31 in 2022 free of charge.

The Forum is organized in view of enormous impact of soil and water salinization on ecosystems, agriculture, livelihoods and food security worldwide. It is important to clearly map the areas already affected by salinity or at risk on a global scale and develop and implement strategies and practices to effectively and efficiently address these effects.

Participation is free of charge for authors and attendees. Accepted short papers will be gathered in the proceedings of the conference that will be published online in Environmental Science Proceedings, ISSN: 2673-4931 (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/environsciproc).

After the conference, the Scientific Committee will select manuscripts that may be included for publication in Special Issue "Advances in Biosaline Agriculture" (Plants | Special Issue : Advances in Biosaline Agriculture (mdpi.com)) in Plants journal (ISSN: 2223-7747; impact factor: 3.935 (2020), Journal Rank: JCR - Q1 (Plant Sciences) / CiteScore - Q2 (Plant Science)) and undergo full peer review.
