L'UNIVERSITÉ MOHAMMED VI POLYTECHNIQUE ET RESEAU ENTREPRENDRE MAROC

Signature of a partnership agreement between UM6P and Réseau Entreprendre Maroc

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and Réseau Entreprendre Maroc (EMN) signed on Monday, May 24, 2021, a partnership agreement on the support to support startups from Moroccan and African universities.

This partnership aims to support entrepreneurship and innovation within these universities by strengthening the innovation capabilities of students and researchers and contributing to the development of startups that create jobs.

The agreement, spread over a period of three years, defines the areas of collaboration for the implementation of actions contributing to the development of entrepreneurship and job creation in Morocco and the continent, namely:

The development of a range of training opportunities for project leaders throughout their incubation cycle;
The development of a set of innovative support and coaching devices to strengthen the capacities of project holders by connecting them to experts, mentors and business leaders of Réseau Entreprendre Maroc;
The provision of a financing offer covering the early stages of development of the startup: ideation, prototyping and marketing.
Through this partnership, Réseau Entreprendre Maroc will also have access to StartGate, the startup campus of UM6P. This innovation hub hosts various incubation and acceleration programs, and brings together an ecosystem committed to providing the best resources to help innovative entrepreneurs launch and grow their startups.

"This partnership is a continuation of the efforts made by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University to create an entrepreneurship and innovation hub that brings together universities, industrialists, startups, government entities and non-profit organizations willing to co-create and co-innovate to make the world a better place," said Mr. Hicham El HABTI, President of the UM6P. Moreover, this collaboration will allow startups from the UM6P ecosystem to connect with Réseau Entreprendre Maroc's business leaders and access international markets. "This partnership is in line with the dynamics of Réseau Entreprendre, which focuses on financing and support for project leaders over several years. We offer the necessary tools for the sustainability of these companies that create wealth and jobs and symbolize the future of Morocco and Africa. By bringing each its stone to the building, we build an innovative and promising Morocco for the generations to come" said Mr. Mehdi LARAKI, President of Réseau Entreprendre Maroc.
