Resilient farming systems in the spotlight at the 17th Open Innovation Platform
On the 19th of September, Al Moutmir organized the 17th edition of the Open Innovation Lab in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, and OCP Foundation, which was held at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic Campus in Benguerir.
The event gathered more than 100 participants, including researchers, agronomists, farmers, institutional partners, and industry representatives. Their discussions highlighted cereal cultivation under conventional and no-till systems, the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices, the role of research and extension services, customized fertilization approaches, conservation agriculture, and carbon farming.
The event reaffirmed the role of the Open Innovation Lab in connecting research and innovation with field practices to support sustainable agriculture in Morocco and Africa.
