MAScIR awarded for its contribution to diagnostics for Africa's Health Needs

MAScIR foundation was awerded by the Senegalese president Mr. Bassirou Diomaye faye for its work in the field of diagnostics adapted to Africa's health needs, at the 7th edition of the Galien Africa Forum, held from october 22 to 25 under the theme "Health and community action in the face of climate and environmental crises in Africa"

 

The event gathered global health leaders, researchers, and Nobel laureates to discuss sustainable strategies for tackling Africa's pressing health challenges.

PhD student Younness Zaarour won the IEEE award for innovative research

Under the supervision or Dr. Hafid Griguer from DICE and Dr. Abdessamad Faik from LIMSET, Younnes Zaarour, a PhD student at UM6P, won the best IEEE young professional award at the IEEE IMAS 2024 conference in Marrakech.

 

This event, is a central forum for experts in microwave sensing and material science, showcased Youness's research on precise temperature detection in phosphate materials using advanced microwave sensors.

Collaboration opportunities explored during visit by Crystal Venture Fund Chairman

On the 11th of December, UM6P welcomed Mr. Jean Claude Karayenzi, Executive Chairman of Rwanda's Crystal Venture Fund*, to the university’s campus in Benguerir.

The visit focused on discussions related to energy, agriculture, and computer sciences, exploring potential opportunities for collaboration.
