SAP+D participated in the 8th edition of the Smart City Casablanca
From the 5th to the 6th of June, the School of Architecture, Planning & Design (SAP+D) participated in the 8th edition of the Smart City Casablanca, held at the “Monument Sacré Coeur Cathédral” in Casablanca under the theme "From Smart Citizen to Smart Metropolis”, in which Pr. Hassan Radoine chairs the Scientific Committee.
This edition challenged the technological vision of smart cities, emphasizing human participation and integrated urban planning. Aligned with UN Habitat's "People-Centered Smart Cities" guidelines, the conference included a workshop to discuss Casablanca and other Moroccan smart cities as case studies.
Main themes covered citizen participation, urban data management, sustainable resource management, e-governance, smart services, and technological solutions. The scientific committee, led by Prof. Hassan Radoine from UM6P and University Hassan II, tailored the program to link research with practical actions for Casablanca's smart transition.
