UM6P Visited Syensqo Headquarters in Brussels
On the 11th of October, a delegation from UM6P, led by President Hicham El Habti, along with representatives from OCP, visited Syensqo Headquarters and Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (IMEC) in Belgium to explore innovations in sustainability and technology.
The visit began at IMEC, a leading research and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies, where UM6P representatives explored IMEC’s advancements in green energy, including hydrogen and CO2 conversion, as well as semiconductor research. At Syensqo, CEO Dr. Ilham Kadri welcomed the delegation, showcasing the Digital Forest, the cutting-edge Battery Lab with in-silico developments, Syensqo's sustainable mining solutions and their AI-driven initiatives . This visit was an opportunity for UM6P, OCP, and Syensqo to discuss potential collaborations.
The day concluded with a formal dinner at Maison Ernest Solvay, a historic venue where renowned thinkers historically gathered to tackle science fields and challenges, strengthening UM6P’s connections with leaders from Belgian academia and industry.
