ABS participated in discussions on women’s empowerment in business
This week, Africa Business School (ABS), represented by Ms. Bahiya Hanoun, Director of Operations for the Business and Management Pole, participated in a CGEM and IOE conference themed "Empowering Women in Business: Breaking Barriers and Building Resilience."
The event opened with remarks by Mr. Chakib Alj, President of CGEM, and Mrs. Jacqueline Mugo, President of the IOE, focusing on women’s role in inclusive growth. During the panel, Ms. Hanoun discussed the need for gender equity, critiqued gendered celebrations, and highlighted education’s role in empowerment, citing UM6P’s example with 61% female students and 40% female doctoral candidates. Ms. Hanoun concluded by presenting a vision of Moroccan women contributing to a fair and inclusive society.
