College of Agriculture held discussion on sustainable agri-food policies for Rhamna region
On the 20th of November, as part of the Frontier Agriculture project funded by the European Commission, the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences organized a focus group discussion at UM6P campus in Benguerir.
The discussion aimed to identify policies, strategies, and actions to promote opportunities and address challenges within the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus in the agri-food system of the Rhamna region. Farmers from the region shared insights on the interconnectedness of water, food, energy, and ecosystems in Morocco, as well as technologies like hydroponics integrated with photovoltaics, which the university is working to implement in Morocco’s agricultural systems.
