UM6P Explorer program closes its fourth cohort with a virtual showcase


The fourth cohort of the UM6P Explorer program closed on Thursday, February 24, 2022 with a virtual showcase highlighting some of the entrepreneurial initiatives supported by the program. 
The event began with a roundtable discussion in which Explorer program participants shared their experiences in applying for and obtaining program grants. This discussion was followed by tours of the teams' virtual presentation rooms, where the audience was able to interact with the entrepreneurs about their initiatives.


A total of 21 projects were presented at the event. The entrepreneurs belong to UM6P and its various partners, including the 1337 and YouCode coding schools, Akhawayn University, Mohammed V University, Hassan II University, Cadi Ayyad University, Green Energy Park, Mascir Foundation and PASET.
The list of entrepreneurial projects that were presented at this event is as follows:


AtlasTrip is a mobile application that allows hiking enthusiasts to get help during their trips. The startup uses artificial intelligence to reduce the risks associated with excursions and trekking in Morocco.


Balab is an e-commerce platform where users can buy and sell second-hand products. The platform aims to facilitate buying and selling compared to other platforms located inside or outside the country.


Blaaan Go is an app that provides a guide for pre-planned appointments taking into account budget and other selection criteria such as the cost of public transport, popular locations and prices.


Broadseg aims to become a leader in the niche of innovative and personalized IoT solutions.


Deam Ecoproducts plans to produce biofertilizers and briquettes using organic waste.


DEJAVU is developing scented socks using the microencapsulation method.
E-Takchita is an e-commerce platform specialized in the marketing of traditional Moroccan clothing, luxury accessories and second-hand crafts. E-Takchita aims to enhance the Moroccan cultural heritage, meet the market demand and allow the Moroccan handicraft fabric to find its customers.
HELIOS Cab aims to develop new means of transportation for the cities of tomorrow.
Joinus is a mobile application offering the possibility to meet and accompany other people.
KBI Network is a mobile application that aims to facilitate the work of business leaders by helping them make strategic decisions and saving them time and money.


THE CIRCULARIUM is both a physical and virtual platform designed to foster a local circular economy by enabling waste recycling.


Materials Arts provides its customers with high quality, affordable, environmentally and community friendly materials.


MoNaCo is a startup manufacturing sustainable bioproducts from agricultural and industrial biomass waste for applications in the construction, agriculture, packaging, automotive and aerospace sectors.
NAJA7 aims to gamify the way students learn and help them achieve better results while having fun.
Restauration is a mobile app aimed at connecting restaurants and customers.


Smart Comfort Building offers an automatic thermal comfort system. This system is interconnected to the various thermal equipment in the building to automatically regulate the temperature when needed.


Spiru Star offers food supplements to fight malnutrition and meet the dietary needs of the world population.
ViewM offers a unique solution to locate electronic devices in case of loss.


WDS is an integrated, intelligent logistics delivery network connecting small e-commerce businesses to end consumers through a network of private vehicles.


Wasta LLC is a mobile English learning platform that provides social English practice to increase motivation and improve users' skills. It is designed and facilitated by expert teachers, and uses pedagogical practices that focus on creating virtual and in-person human connections.


As a reminder, UM6P Explorer is a program developed by UM6P in collaboration with the MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund to provide a customized educational experience for innovators and entrepreneurs at Moroccan universities. The program provides each team with up to 250,000 MAD in funding, while connecting them with experienced international and Moroccan mentors. UM6P Explorer federates a community of innovators and entrepreneurs who want to make an impact on society and scale their startups and technologies within the Moroccan ecosystem.
